The Government of Vanuatu, through the Citizenship Office and Commission, officially issued Gazette No. 25 of 2026 on 23 March 2026, announcing amendments to the regulations governing its Citizenship by Investment (CBI) programs, including the Development Support Program (DSP) and Contribution Program (CIIP).
According to the official notice, these amendments will come into full effect within the next two months, allowing a limited transitional period for agents and applicants to complete pending submissions under the current framework. Based on this timeline, the program is expected to undergo significant changes around June 2026.
While the government has not yet confirmed specific adjustments to the investment amount, based on our market experience and industry analysis, there is a strong likelihood that the required contribution may increase, with an estimated adjustment of approximately USD 20,000.
As the implementation date approaches, a surge in global application volume is anticipated, as applicants seek to secure current terms before the new regulations take effect.
In light of these developments, we strongly recommend that interested applicants proceed as early as possible during this transitional window to benefit from the current pricing and avoid potential increases.
