On March 9, the Citizenship Office issued a memorandum to all designated agents regarding updates to the United Nations sanctions list. After its release, the Committee conducted an internal review and found that the information contained in the document was inaccurate due to a clerical error, and did not reflect any official policy change.
To clarify, the Citizenship Committee issued a formal correction to all agents on March 11, explicitly stating that, as of now, there has been no change to the list of restricted countries under the Vanuatu Citizenship by Investment Program. The Russian Federation and the Republic of Sudan remain eligible source countries, and qualified applicants may continue to submit applications under the current procedures, subject to standard due diligence.
